Physical activity and exercise

Physical activity and exercise are healthy life habits just like a good diet and not smoking.

Canadian exercise recommendations for adults aged 18 to 64 are:

  • 30 minutes of moderate to intense aerobic exercise 5 times per week and
  • 2 weight training sessions on the major muscle groups twice a week.

If we’re honest, we have to recognize that it’s often difficult to achieve these goals.

That’s why the CRFHT offers you the services of a health educator certified by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology.

The main focus areas are:

  • Chronic lower back pain
  • Chronic pain
  • Healthy life habits
  • Fall prevention

Information sessions are available to provide you with information, increase your knowledge and give you the tools you need in order to make changes.

You can also set up an individual meeting for more customized service.

If you are interested in these services, you can complete the following questionnaire and drop it off at the clinic reception desk. You will then be contacted by a secretary.
