Influenza Vaccination Clinics 2021
The Clarence-Rockland Family Health Team (CRFHT) will be offering flu shots to its patients only from November 8th to 26th 2021 at the clinic.
In order to control the number of people in the clinic and maintain physical distancing, you must book an appointment in order to receive your flu shot.
If you are not a patient of the clinic, you can obtain your flu shot at any of the local pharmacies. You may also consult the Eastern Ontario Health Unit’s website for more information.
- Booking an appointment:
You will be able to book your appointment on the Corigan website here as of Friday November 5th 2021
Please note that you must have an appointment in order to receive your flu shot. If you present yourself at the clinic without an appointment, you will be turned away.
Each member of your family who wishes to be vaccinated against the flu will need an appointment. For example, if a family of 5 (2 parents and 3 children) wants to be vaccinated against the flu, each individual member of the family must have an appointment. The online booking system will be able to give families appointments on the same day and time.
- The day of your appointment:
Make sure to bring your health card with you
Please arrive only 5 minutes before your schedule appointment
Upon arrival at the clinic, you must complete a COVID screening questionnaire when you enter for whatever reason. If you have a smartphone, you can use the QR code on the posters at reception. This will save you time. If you do not have a smartphone, stand in line and Reception will screen you
If you answer ‘yes’ to one of our COVID screening questions, you will not be allowed to enter the clinic. You will need to reschedule your appointment on another day and time.
Please wear a short sleeved shirt that you can lift up to your shoulder. The flu shot is administered in your arm muscle just under your shoulder.
- Tips for using the QR code:
a. make sure your WiFi is on as there is WiFi in the waiting area
b. open your camera (not your photos)
c. point the camera at the QR code, but don’t take a picture
d. click on the link that appears on the screen to be taken to the questionnaire
e. some Android phones and Blackberries can’t read QR codes. Here is a link to one application at the Google Play store, but there are many others (e.g. “QR Scanner App”, “QR Code & Barcode Scanner”)
