Women's Health

We're excited to announce a special initiative at the clinic—a Women's Health Program designed for women aged 13 to 39. Our focus is on providing comprehensive and personalized care, emphasizing preventive healthcare. This means ensuring all women have access to essential screenings for cancer and sexually transmitted infections, as well as family planning care.

Our Nurse Practitioners (NPs) lead this program. In the province of Ontario, Nurse Practitioners are registered healthcare professionals with specialized training, enabling them to assess, diagnose, and treat common health issues.

Within the women’s health program, the following services will be offered:
●    PAP tests for women aged 25-39
●    Sexually transmitted infections, counseling and treatment
●    Contraceptive counseling including IUD and Nexplanon implant insertion and follow-ups
●    Family planning including medical abortion

Of note, we have chosen to limit the services to this age group to start the project; however, our plan is to open the program to all women as it grows.

If you're a woman aged 25 to 39, due for a PAP test, please call the clinic to book an appointment with our NP. This visit is specifically designed for preventive care and reproductive/sexual health. For any other concerns, please feel free to book an appointment with your designated primary care provider.
