No, the CRFHT offers emergency appointments to its patients only. We are not a walk-in clinic.

Yes, it is important to always check in with CRFHT reception on the first floor before going up to the waiting room on the second floor. That way, the interdisciplinary services professional you are seeing will be informed that you have arrived.

Under our confidentiality policy, no medical information can be given or discussed, over the telephone or in person, without your authorization. This policy is in effect for everyone aged 16 and older.

You can always get a copy of a test report or result once it has been reviewed by a physician. Please note that fees may apply.

As a CRFHT patient, it is your responsibility to make an appointment with your family doctor before your prescription expires. However, your family doctor may decide to renew a prescription after receiving a request by fax from your pharmacy. It is very important not to wait until the last minute as there may be delays.

Yes, an appointment is required to see the nursing team. To provide you with excellent medical care and reduce waiting times, an appointment system was set up in February 2019. Appointments with our nurses are available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday. Appointments can be made by phone at 613-446-7677 (choose option 3), or in person at reception.

It is always important to check before you travel abroad. If you need information and advice for a trip abroad, visit https://travel.gc.ca/. Some family doctors offer travel clinic services. However, there is a charge for these services as they are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan.
