Physical activity and exercise

Physical activity and exercise are healthy life habits just like a good diet and not smoking.

Canadian exercise recommendations for adults aged 18 to 64 are:

  • 30 minutes of moderate to intense aerobic exercise 5 times per week and
  • 2 weight training sessions on the major muscle groups twice a week.

If we’re honest, we have to recognize that it’s often difficult to achieve these goals.

That’s why the CRFHT offers you the services of a health educator certified by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology.

The main mandates are:

  • Management of chronic pain
  • Prevention and management of chronic diseases
  • Healthy life habits
  • Weight management
  • Fall prevention

Exercise sessions also take place in the community, in partnership with the City of Clarence-Rockland.

You can also set up an individual meeting for more customized service.

If you are interested in these services, you can complete the following questionnaire and drop it off at the clinic's reception desk. You will then be contacted by a member of our team.
